HPK has trained students currently on Broadway, in national tours, at regional theatres, and in numerous college and university theatre programs including CCM, Elon, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Ithaca, Syracuse, FSU and Michigan State. She is currently a adjunct professor with Western Connecticut State University, and has served as part of the faculty of Butler University, Franklin College, Marian College and Indiana University/Purdue University of Indiana as an acting, theatre history, intro to theatre, public speaking, and oral interpretation instructor. She has taught in both the college and studio environment, ages 7-adult. She was the Director of Education, Director of Acting, and Director of Advanced Conservatory and Acting Company productions for the North Carolina Theatre. She has directed such productions as School for Wives, The Crucible, Electra, Noises Off, Macbeth, Inspecting Carol, Once Upon a Mattress, and You Can't Take it With You., and Assistant Directed Annie and Fosse. She is the former director of the Act Out Ensemble Social Issue Theatre and the founder, creator, and director of the Theatre 4 Change Conflict Resolution Theatre Company. She currently teaches master classes, workshops and private coaching in acting, voice, song interpretation, coaching of sides, and public speaking/presentation in NYC.
